Location Recording

At the heart of the Natural Recording Studio is the idea that a multi-track studio can come to where the music is made. Creativity is sometimes an ephemeral thing and is often linked to a situation in time or a specific place. With that in mind common sense suggests that if the studio could be there right at the point of inspiration we can get as close as possible to the ‘creative juices first press’ so to speak. This is the motivation of the Natural Recording Studio, to be in the right place at the right time with as little invasion of the creative process as possible, to capture the magic at source.

The Studio has many uses and can be adapted to many unusual situations. It is possible to take the studio to the location of your choice, for instance a room with the desired natural ambience or perhaps an unusual building such as a church or Abbey. It is also possible to take the studio ‘off road’ as it can be totally battery powered with no loss of facilities (same hi quality and multi-track capabilities) and record in environments such as woods, sea shore, cave or sacred site. It is also possible to record and mix in the van itself as that is equipped with studio grade speakers and 240v power. So even if the weather is inclement it’s still possible to get right into the environment such as a beauty spot, a magnificent view or the rugged energy of the moors and soak up the atmosphere. The van also has tea making facilities(!).
